Tips on Travel in Jeju Island

Clothing for Hike & Walk (Summer – June):

  • Wear Shoes with Traction as it is slippery when hiking on rough terrain such as areas around the waterfall and Mt. Hallasan. For this, we specially bought a hiking boot for Dar at Decathlon. They are the only place we found with hiking boots for kids. Our hiking boots are the Merrell Brand and it served us so well, protecting our feet from tiredness or accidentally twisting our ankle as we trudged through rocks (huge ones).
  • Waterproof & Windproof Jacket/Parka with Hoods. This helped to block off some intense heat and sunlight from the summer sun.
  • Sun Protection: Sunscreen /Sunglasses /HATS (a MUST as the sun was really intense)
